Selekt DSM
Linn Selekt DSM is a network music player in which I contributed to development and detail design. Set out to “revolutionise your interaction with digital music”.
We collaborated with Linn to create a unique listening experience through the celebration of tactility in music. Designed for longevity, it has a modular and upgradeable format, allowing it to be upgraded at any time in the future without compromising sound quality.
Customisable buttons respond like the keys of a perfectly tuned piano

Activities

Starting with broad market evaluation, understanding competition and their adjacent offerings. Understanding brand values and gathering their KPIs

Defining core tasks and benchmarking. Information display strategy & control requirements. Establishing core architectural hierarchy & philosophy.

We ran workshops with a variety of visual stimuli to establish the client’s preferred visual direction. Later developing the style, look, character and response of the visual elements.

Narrowing down to a singular visual direction that would meet the client’s vision. Detail design of visual elements (icons, tabs). Creating every possible state of each page.
